Packaging with Purpose: Advancing Sustainability Beyond the Crop

Acadian Plant Health™ is a biostimulant company with a core focus on sustainable, science-based biological solutions for a variety of crops globally. But sustainability doesn’t stop at the crop. It also means rethinking how we package, transport, and recover the products that reach our customers, ensuring our solutions contribute to the circular economy and reduce environmental impact.

Primary Packaging: 100% Recyclable

Our 5L and 10L liquid jugs are produced from mono-material HDPE, ensuring they are fully recyclable and easily reintroduced into established recycling streams. By focusing on single-material design, we reduce barriers to recycling and help close the loop on plastic use.

Secondary Packaging: Smarter and Lighter

Our corrugated boxes, made with 75% recycled content, are also 100% recyclable. Current projects are underway to reduce material weight by 15% without compromising strength or product protection. Lighter packaging means fewer resources consumed and lower emissions across our logistics chain.

Industrial Packaging: Responsible Partnerships

For larger-scale agriculture, we source totes and IBCs from industry-leading manufacturers that offer container recovery and recycling programs. These partnerships help extend the lifecycle of industrial packaging, reducing waste while ensuring safe, reliable transport of our products.

Recycling Programs: Closing the Loop

Acadian is a proud participant in leading agricultural container recycling programs, including:

Both organizations play a vital role in ensuring agricultural containers are responsibly collected, recycled, and reintroduced into new products rather than becoming waste. Through these initiatives, we help farmers and partners keep plastics in circulation and out of landfills.

Beyond these, Acadian supports Container Management Schemes (CMS) across North America, India, Mexico, and New Zealand, and will expand support to other regions as collection schemes come online.

Advancing the Circular Economy

Our packaging choices are part of a broader commitment to sustainability. Reducing, reusing, and recycling materials wherever possible. By integrating recyclability into design and working with partners who share our values, we’re contributing to a circular economy where resources are preserved, waste is minimized, and value is regenerated.

At Acadian Plant Health, sustainability extends beyond the field. From product innovation to packaging and recovery, we are committed to advancing practices that regenerate ecosystems, empower well-being, and create lasting impact for generations to come.

A Better Crop Today A Better World Tomorrow
